Our chalet is located on a nicely situated holiday park (900m altitude), on which there is a swimming pool as well as a Jacuzzi. The park offers a view onto Stadl an der Mur, a village with approximately 1200 inhabitants, and offering all comforts, such as a supermarket, a butcher, a train station, a post office, bars, and restaurants.
The ‘Mur’ is a great river to go rafting or canoeing. With the steam train (train station apprx. 700m from park) you can explore the area in a traditional way. These are the Austrian Alps, which therefore offer you great hiking, and cycling (mountainbiking) routes. The Golfpark Murau-Kreischberg is for every golfer in respect of his/her handicap a challenge.
The closest ski resort Kreischberg (alt. 850-2118m) ) is part of the ‘Murtaler Skigebiet’.
This snow-sure ski-region entails 7 smaller ski-resorts, totaling over 150km of skiing pleasure, which is very well suited for families with children. The Kreischberg itself is apprx. 40 km large, and well suited for skiers of all levels. Turracher Höho, Katschberg or Obertauern are also worth a visit.
With the Snowpark, the more experienced skiers and snowboarders are also well catered for. As well as the each year returning Snowboarding World Cup.
